Here's something that you need to know: any sudden increase in your fibrous food intake might actually do you more harm than good. Even though you are in a hurry to lower your blood cholesterol, you do have to ease into the program, not force it upon yourself. Everything in life that is worth doing, is worth starting slowly. When you get started, it will obviously become easier.
You know, there are a lot of diseases that exercise cannot heal, but there are only a few that it cannot prevent. If you maintained a daily or weekly workout routine, you should be able to reduce your body cholesterol to levels where diseases that could have stemmed otherwise are kept at bay.
When you do your groceries next time, try to look for higher fiber foods. The types with soluble fibers are especially good for maintaining lower cholesterol levels in your system. Now, you know that is totally worth your while, isn't it? It sure is.
Beans, beans, beans; never could stand the thing. And now the doctor say I gotta
eat more beans just so's I don't get a heart attack! Where do these guys pop out from, anyway? Why do they gotta try to run my life? And now, the wife's all over me saying things like she ain't never gon' let me see another plate of grease 'cause o' my cholesterol levels. Men, leave the cholesterol levels and gimme some grease! That's what I' talking about.
Without the vegetables and the fruit, you'd be deceiving yourself thinking you are doing away with the cholesterol in your system. All you'd be achieving was self-starvation. Now I don't think you want to be telling a story like that. So, why don't you go grocery shopping and buy a few of those roughages?
